Our Modern High Tech Facility
| Although we have been in business for nearly 40 years, a new facility has recently been completed that encompasses a brand new environment using the newest management processes and technology available in the industry. The facility holds over 5,000 head of cattle and provides:

 Open holding pens for free-flowing ventilation where calves wander from sunlight to shade. Each pen has covered feed bunkers and is situated on an incline for maximum drainage. |
| Less human contact with less stress. Our unloading and loading areas were designed to give a comfortable flow to the cattle. We also use a hydraulic sort area where the cattle pass the sorter one at a time.

| A modern clean facility. Our pens are cleaned and serviced regularly with fresh water and feed in each holding pen.

| Quality cattle mean healthy cattle. We have one of the most advanced healthcare programs available. Mississippi State University, one of the premier Veterinary Schools in the country, is located 20 miles away and maintains a close working relationship with Prairie Livestock. This relationship has proven to be very beneficial for diagnostics, research, development and the latest animal husbandry practices.
